Pack a figure collection for a move by working one item at a time, using its original fitted packaging where suitable and following the product's assembly instructions in reverse only where disassembly is intended. The goal is to avoid pressure on fragile parts and confusion between similar accessories.
Make an inventory before dismantling
Photograph each assembled figure and its condition. Record its name, variant and parts in a simple list. Number the packaging and the inventory entry to match. This makes it easier to find the correct base and accessories when you unpack.
Prepare a clear work surface and keep completed packages separate from pieces still being handled. Do not spread unlabelled accessories from several figures across the same area; a small mix-up can make reassembly much harder.
Remove only intended parts
Consult the instructions before detaching anything. Some pieces that look separate are fixed permanently, while some supports need a particular removal direction. Stop if a connection resists or the instructions are unclear. Do not pull on a narrow weapon, hair tip or effect to free the main body.
Place each detachable part in its matching compartment. If using original packaging, check that the insert is intact and that the parts sit in the intended positions without being forced.
Avoid pressure and uncontrolled movement
Packaging should prevent the piece from shifting while avoiding concentrated pressure on delicate areas. If the original insert is missing, obtain packing advice appropriate to the materials and shape of the figure. Loose wrapping alone may not protect a projecting sword or wing.
Do not tape directly onto the figure or let hard accessories rub against painted surfaces. Use a suitable outer box and follow any handling guidance from the carrier or mover. A “fragile” label is useful communication, not a substitute for adequate internal protection.
Plan the arrival too
Keep the inventory accessible and avoid placing heavy household items on figure packages. At the destination, prepare the display surface before unboxing. Inspect each item, compare it with the condition photographs and confirm all parts before assembling.
Work gradually rather than unpacking every box at once. If damage is found, preserve the packaging and report it through the relevant support or claims process before attempting a repair. When choosing future additions from the statue collection at Super Saiyan Sphere, packaging and ease of handling are worth considering alongside the display itself.
