For a Zoro figure with drawn swords, plan around the widest assembled outline rather than the base alone. A sword can extend beyond the supported footprint or point toward the cabinet door, so width, depth and access matter as much as height.
Read the pose from above
Study front and side photographs to understand where each sword points. A blade angled toward the camera may look short in a photo while extending significantly in depth. If the listing does not provide maximum assembled dimensions, ask for them.
Make a paper footprint that includes the outermost parts. Mark the direction of the face and swords, then test the outline on the shelf. This makes it easier to see whether rotating the piece improves the view or creates a new clearance problem.
Keep the face visible
Sword poses can create strong diagonals across a display. Use those lines intentionally, but check that they do not cross the face of a neighboring figure from your normal viewpoint. A layout that works while you stand directly in front may look very different from a chair off to one side.
For a Zoro-centered display, leave enough visual space around the face and upper body. A busy background can compete with the blades and make the pose harder to read. Try a plain backdrop before adding extra props.
Allow room to handle the piece
Plan how you will lift or remove the figure using the product's handling instructions. Do not create a layout that requires pulling a blade past another statue's fragile accessories. Keep the entire base supported and leave the swords clear of doors and moving parts.
Only remove or reposition swords when the product is designed for that. A separate-looking blade may be permanently attached, and a fixed-pose statue should not be treated as an articulated figure.
Pair by direction, not just character name
If Zoro will sit beside Luffy or Sanji, sketch the movement of each pose with arrows. A contained neighboring pose can give a wide sword composition more breathing room. If every piece extends toward the others, separate the group or use another shelf.
